Research Interests

Dr. Cleaver's research focuses on the application of community-based approaches to public health problems, including adolescent tobacco use and Native American health issues.  She is an Investigator of the Center for Prevention Research in Native Americans, a research center established in the College of Public Health.  The Center has as its primary purpose the successful implementation of health promotion and disease prevention programs in the Native American community of Oklahoma.
